While the new licensing regime is a welcome development, it is also a big transition. That's why we created the Alberta Condominium Management Education Consortium (ACMEC). It is a non-profit entity created by the leadership of the condominium and real estate communities to advance and support the condominium industry and community. We want to ensure that condominium managers have access to pre-licensing education built by industry professionals with practical experience in Alberta condominium management and legislation. We have formed this consortium to create high-quality and competitively priced pre-licensing education available to all individuals who wish to pursue a license in condominium management.
The establishment of ACMEC represents several years' worth of hard work and advocacy, and I’m proud of the fact that we are now able to offer a pre-licensing education program for our industry by our industry.
